Overview

Owatrol Oxid Vernis is a clear varnish formulated with polyurethane-modified alkyd resins, designed specifically for new or oxidised metals treated with Owatrol Oil. Maintaining the natural look of the surface, Oxid Vernis combines performance with easy application for long-lasting results. Oxid Vernis offers high UV resistance, ensuring durability both indoors and outdoors. Perfect for a variety of metal surfaces such as gates, furniture, fences, and ornaments, this varnish can be effortlessly applied to horizontal or vertical surfaces while preserving the substrate's natural appearance.

• Suitable for new or oxidised surfaces, including both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Can be used Indoor & Outdoor* (*Matt finish: interior use only)
• Ideal for highly humid interior environments.

Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of all grease, oil, salt and other surface contamination

• Use an appropriate solvent depending on the substrate and contamination e.g. Acetone or Owaclean, to clean the surface prior to any of the following preparation processes.
• Round off any sharp edges to allow better film build.

Application

• Use As Is
• Do Not Thin
• Stir well before and during use.
• Apply 1st coat of Oxid Vernis and allow to dry 24 hours.
• Sand surface with 280 grit abrasive and thoroughly dust off.
• Apply 2nd coat of Oxid Vernis.

Always follow manufacturer's instructions found on the tin

Aftercare & Storage

• For the first 14 days do not clean Oxid Vernis with water.
• Do not use aggressive chemical cleaners to remove grease or any other type of dirt that has accumulated on the surface
