Overview
Polyvine Extra Pale Varnish is an oil based finish formulated to produce an extremely pale colour on wood. Ideal for use on hard and softwood doors, kitchen worktops, cabinets, tabletops, counters, bookshelves and wood panelling. The unique formulation of selected resins and oils creates a extremely durable, high quality coating that dramatically reduces yellowing characteristics compared with polyurethane varnishes.

Preparation
Ensure the surface to be coated is clean and free from grease
- New or bare wood should be lightly sanded and cleaned with white spirit.
- Previously varnished surfaces if in sound condition, clean down to remove dirt, grease, oil and wax polish. If the existing varnish is in poor condition, remove it completely.
- Remove any poorly adhering or defective varnish by scraping back to a firm edge.
- Fill and make good any cracks or imperfections with a suitable wood filler.
Application
Always try the varnish on a test patch before embarking on the project to ensure you are happy with the finished results.
- Stir well before use.
- Use a good quality, soft bristle brush, varnish roller or sprayer.
- For best results don't over brush, use the minimum brushing required to avoid runs.
- If using a roller finish off by lightly brushing out.
- When spraying, dilution up to a maximum of 10% white spirit will achieve the required viscosity in most cases.
- Allow to dry for 6-8 hours.
- Apply a total of 3 coats, If an extra fine finish is essential, lightly rub down between coats with fine abrasive paper.
- Allow the final coat to dry for 6 hours.

Store in unopened containers in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight
